Steam Cleaning
Truck mounted steam cleaning, AKA hot water extraction, is the industry standard. It is the most widely recommended cleaning method by the major carpet manufacturers. The Institute for Inspection Cleaning and Restoration(IICRC) lists it first in the S100 Carpet Cleaning Standard. All other methods, though viable are subordinate to steam cleaning. Because of the high pressure achieved with this process, Pollutants, bacteria and allergens are flushed away. The high temperature also aids to sanitize carpet. A balanced pH is reached after the final rinse. Drying takes usually 4 to 8 hours.
Carbonated Dry cleaning
Carbonated Dry Cleaning, is an alternative method which uses a carbonated solution, which, when sprayed onto the carpet, immediately begins suspending soils for removal. The solution is pH balanced and non-toxic. High traffic, heavily soiled or matted areas are then scrubbed via a low speed floor machine, to further suspend soils. Extraction is done using soft absorbent pads. This process cleans beautifully, though sanitizing is not achieved through heat. This is a great maintenance cleaning for carpets that are cleaned frequently. Dry time is usually 1-3 hours.
